Bert Shelby was the Troop 26 Committee Chairman for many years. Marilyn supported him and all of the members of Troop 26 for just as long.
Marilyn Shelby, wife of former Assistant Scoutmaster and Committee Chairman Bert Shelby was remembered during a memorial service in Tulsa on March 19, 2011. Bert and Marilyn were long time members of our Troop 26 family. Their two sons, Kent and Mark, received their Eagle Scout Award as members of Troop 26. Marilyn was a teacher in the Tulsa School District and many of the troop alumni spent time in her classroom.
Bert and Marilyn moved to Nebraska several years ago to live near family.
Troop 26 was well represented at Marilyn Shelby's memorial service and it was great to see Bert again. The photo above was taken at a reception following the service.
